Rhiannon is an artist and educator living in Barcelona. She uses a variety of media including paint, printmaking and drawing in her work. She is inspired by hidden architecture and the stories it reveals about the city.
This series of acrylic paintings on canvas is based on personal visual landmarks around the city of Barcelona. They capture the light, buildings and intersections on her everyday walk to work or around her neighbourhood. These paintings recall a kind of absent beauty of the city during the restrictive lockdowns of the recent pandemic.
